The DZT collective in Austria means activity. The public sphere and the spheres usually more hidden are their medium for change. They ask us to see the context we are dealing with, to really perceive it. Their practice of using installation (video, performance, sculpture, prints) as a mirror rather than a specific critique or artistic display is what makes this exhibition and their presence necessary. “Collective” doesn’t mean equal or exactly democratic or anonymous, it means individually together. So too, “There must be something in between” deconstructs togetherness on a larger political scale through music and symbol and through this division we are brought into new relationships with topics like unity, borders, migration- and in the formation of these new relationships a certain audible and visual Harmony is produced.
